Q: How to disable the Parking Brake Cable Adjuster?
A:
You can hold the pedal in the FULL upward position, pull rearward on the front park brake cable, insert a thin tool on an upward angle through the hole in the front of the pedal assembly, past the retracted pedal drum, and into the hole in the back of the pedal assembly, release the cable, remove the component that requires service.

Q: How to install the Parking Brake Rear Cable?
A:
You can install the park brake cable from the actuator lever, the park brake cable from the backing plate by depressing the locking tabs, the park brake cable, position the parking brake cable to the rear axle bracket, install the bolt and nut (2500 series), position the park brake cable to the cable guides on the vehicle frame, install the cable to the mounting bracket until the tabs lock into place, connect the left rear park brake cable to the intermediate park brake cable equalizer, enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster, and adjust the parking brake.

A:
You can hold the park brake pedal in the FULL upward position, pull rearward on the front park brake cable until the tension is released from the tool, remove the tool, release the park brake cable until it returns to its original position, release the park brake pedal, apply and release the park brake pedal 3 times.

A:
You can ensure the park brake is released, disable the park brake cable automatic adjuster, disconnect the left rear park brake cable, remove the park brake cable from the mounting bracket by depressing the locking tabs, the nut and bolt securing the park brake cable to the rear axle housing bracket (2500 series), release the park brake cable from the park brake cable guides on the vehicle frame, remove the park brake cable from the actuator lever, the park brake cable from the backing plate by depressing the locking tabs, the park brake cable.
