The clicking noise is most commonly coming from the axle shaft.

12/10/2021Q: What is the proper way to add the washer?
A:
Remove the front wheel hub and bearing and install the washer on the front of the front wheel driveshaft. A new drive shaft nut will need to be installed as they are not reusable once removed. If the vehicle has already come equipped with a washer, you can simply remove it and replace it with a new washer.
