Apply a bead of sealer to the blowout clip, position the clip back to the back of the retainer, and apply a bead of sealer to the area where the clip will contact the reveal molding. Replace any broken or improperly placed screws, and install the windshield weatherstrip side. Finally, install the screws mounting the windshield weatherstrip side retainer, apply sealant and install the weatherstrip.

Start at one end of the weatherstrip align the retainers on the weatherstrip with the holes in the door, then press the retainers tight into the holes. Finally, insert and press the push-pin retainers through the weatherstrip ends into the door.

First, remove the push-pin retainers from the ends of the weatherstrip, and pull the weatherstrip from the full-length door. Always remove any weatherstrip retainers that remain in the door.

Remove the weatherstrip and the weatherstrip retainer. Remove the blowout clip, and clean the mounting surfaces.
