Q: What is the proper way to remove old frame bushings?
A:
The proper way to remove old frame bushings is by first raising and supporting the vehicle so you have access to remove the intermediate shaft from the steering gear sub shaft. Once that is removed you will need to remove the frame bolts and slowly lower the rear of the frame so that you have access to remove the upper and lower insulators.

A:
It is recommended to apply lube to the lower and upper insulators and install them to the rear of the vehicle together. Once they are installed you can raise the frame onto the body and install the frame bolts that were initially removed. Re-install the intermediate shaft onto the steering gear stub shaft and you can safely lower your vehicle.
