Before removing the old hinge bolts, mark the location of the hinge using any sort of pencil, pen, or marker. Make sure to add something to the door as support so it does not fall or get damaged while replacing the hinge. Next, you will need to disconnect the electrical connector between the door and the door jam. Finally, install the new hinge and reconnect the electrical connector. Check for proper alignment and make any necessary adjustments.
