If you determine the leak is coming from the wheel area, you will need to dismount the tire from the wheel. The rim will need to be scuffed so that the affected area is fixed. Apply tire silicone or sealant to the wheel where the affected area was repaired and mount the wheel back on the tire.

After correctly patching the area, you will need to add sealant so that it fills the resurfaced bead.
