About Acura ILX Timing Chain Tensioner

The Acura ILX is a subcompact executive car and it adopts a brand-new design. Compared with its predecessor, the Civic, the Acura ILX and all its classic parts have undergone generational upgrades for better performance. ILX comes with a lot of quality vehicles and parts, including the timing chain tensioner. The timing chain tensioner plays a key role in making sure that the precise amount of tension of the timing chain surrounds the crankshaft and camshaft sprocket.
ILX has many parts, while problems arise after the timing chain tensioner has been used for a long time. The removal process of the parts is as follows. Remove the front engine accessories (if needed) first. Next, remove the timing cover bolts and pull the timing cover off the vehicle (if needed). Then locate the timing chain tensioner (some are under the timing cover, while others are outside the timing cover). Finally, remove the bolts holding the timing chain tensioner in place and pull away from the vehicle. A timing chain tensioner should be replaced every 80,000 to 120,000 miles. Prompt services and great ILX parts are given to customers. Welcome to a vast range of related ILX parts available online.
