Q: How to remove the relay rod?
A:
After raising the vehicle, you can remove the inner tie rod, disconnect the inner tie rods, remove the prevailing torque nut, and disconnect the connecting rod. Then you need to remove the prevailing torque nuts and the relay rod. After inspecting the threads on the tie rod and the ball stud threads for damage, you can clean the threads on the ball studs.
