Q: What is the removal procedure for the evaporator core in the auxiliary?
A:
You need to recover the refrigerant, drain the coolant, raise the vehicle, remove the heater and A/C line cover, the heater lines, the one retaining nut and the two nuts securing the auxiliary evaporator module, lower the vehicle, remove the left body side rear trim panel and the upper/lower auxiliary air outlet duct assembly, disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the two bolts inside the vehicle retaining the case, the auxiliary evaporator module assembly and the screws, separate the case halves, remove the evaporator core seal and the evaporator core, inspect the gaskets and the seals.

The recommended torque is 10 Nm (89 lb in).

A:
You need to recover the refrigerant from the A/C system, remove the coolant recovery reservoir or surge tank, disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the accumulator, the evaporator tube, the keep cover, the evaporator case front cover retaining screws, and the evaporator front cover, separate the case halves and remove the evaporator core.

The recommended torque is 6 Nm (53 lb in).
