You need to connect the park brake lever to the secondary brake shoe and install the retaining clip, position the hook end of the J 38400 under the universal spring and lightly pull the universal spring end out while installing the secondary and primary brake shoe, install the adjuster assembly and the adjuster lever, install the adjuster spring, adjust the drum brake system, install the brake drum and the tire and wheel assembly, and lower the vehicle.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the brake shoe?
A:
You need to raise and suitably support the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel assembly, the brake drum, and the adjuster spring, remove the adjuster assembly and the adjuster lever, position the hook end of the J 38400 and lightly pull the universal spring end out of the shoe web hole, hold the universal spring while removing the primary and secondary brake shoe. and disconnect the park brake lever.
