Q: What is the removal procedure for the exhaust seal?
A:
You need to raise and support the vehicle, disconnect the Connector Position Assurance retainer and the oxygen sensor electrical connector and support the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe. You also need to remove the right and left exhaust manifold pipe nuts and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket bolts, lower the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe and remove the exhaust manifold pipe seal(s).

Q: What is the removal procedure for exhaust manifold pipe (6.0L and 8.1L Engines)?
A:
You need to raise and support the vehicle, support the transmission, remove the transmission mount to transmission support nuts, raise the transmission off of the transmission support, and remove the transmission support cross-member bolts, the transmission support cross-member, the exhaust muffle, and the clip. You also need to disconnect the connector position assurance retainer and the oxygen sensor electrical connector, remove the oxygen sensor and the exhaust manifold pipe nuts, lower the transmission slightly, remove the exhaust manifold pipe, and discard the exhaust manifold pipe seal.
