FAQ for Transmission Filter Repair

Q: How to remove the Automatic Transmission Fluid/Filter?
A:
First, you need to place the drain pan under the transaxle oil pan, loosen the rear oil pan bolts about 4 turns, and lightly tap the oil pan with a rubber mallet or pry to allow the fluid to drain. Then, please inspect the fluid color, remove the oil pan and the gasket, and remove the oil filter. Finally, you should check the oil filter seal for damage or wear, and remove the seal.
