Q: How do you install the vacuum brake booster?
A:
You can install the brake booster, ensure that the inner washer is in position on the brake pedal, apply a thin coating of lithium grease to the pushrod pin, connect the brake booster pushrod, install the outer washer and retaining clip, install the vacuum brake booster mounting nuts, install the vacuum hose, move the master cylinder and the proportioning valve assembly or the antilock brake modulator assembly onto the brake booster studs, install the master cylinder mounting bolts and install the air cleaner assembly.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the vacuum brake booster?
A:
The procedure is to remove the air cleaner assembly and the master cylinder mounting nuts, move the master cylinder and the proportioning valve assembly or the antilock brake modulator assembly forward, remove the vacuum hose, the brake booster mounting nuts, the retaining clip, washer, disconnect the brake booster pushrod and remove the booster from the vehicle.
