Q: How do you install the rack and pinion boot (on the vehicle)?
A:
You can install the new inner tie rod boot clamp, apply grease to the inner tie rod assembly and the power steering gear assembly, install the inner tie rod boot, align the breather tube with the mark, install the inner tie rod boot onto the power steering gear assembly, install the inner tie rod boot onto the inner tie rod assembly, install the inner tie rod boot clamp on the inner tie rod boot, install the inner tie rod small boot clamp, install the inner tie rod jam nut, install the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod assembly, install the tire and wheel assembly, lower the vehicle and perform a front end alignment.

Q: How do you install the outer tie rod end?
A:
You can install the tie rod end, install the outer tie rod ball stud, install the new prevailing torque nut, install the front tire and wheel, adjust the front toe, and tighten the jam nut.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the rack and pinion boot (on the vehicle)?
A:
The procedure is to raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel assembly, remove the outer tie rod, remove the inner tie rod jam nut, remove the clamp, remove and discard the inner tie rod boot clamp and remove the inner tie rod boot and the breather tube.
