You should first raise and support the vehicle and place a drain pan under the oil drain plug. Then, you should remove the oil pan drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely. After that, you should install the oil pan drain plug and use a 32 mm (1 1/4 in) socket on the hex on top of the Oil Filter cap, or an oil filter wrench on the outside diameter of the oil filter cap. Finally, you should remove the oil filter cap and filter and filter from the cap.

First, you should raise and support the vehicle and drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. Then, you should remove the catalytic converter, the air conditioning (A/C) compressor bolts, the front cover, the Oil Pan to transmission bolts, the oil pan bolts, and the oil pan. Finally, you should clean the oil pan and the engine block gasket surface.

First, you should disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hose. Then, you should remove the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt and the exhaust manifold heat shield. After that, you should remove the oil level indicator and tube from the lower crankcase. Finally, you should remove the O-ring from the oil level indicator tube.
