Q: What is the removal procedure for the instrument panel?
A:
The procedure is to disconnect the negative battery cable, drain the coolant, remove the inlet heater hose at the heater core and the outlet heater hose at the heater core, recover the refrigerant, remove the suction hose at the thermostatic expansion valve, remove the liquid line at the thermostatic expansion valve, the sealing washers, the HVAC module to front of dash plate bolts, the front floor console, the body control module, the right and left instrument panel insulator panels and both the right and left instrument panel outer trim panels, disconnect the instrument panel to the body wire harness and antenna connectors on the left side of the instrument panel, disconnect the instrument panel to the wire harness connectors on the right side of the instrument panel, remove the drivers knee bolster panel, the steering column assembly and the crush bracket to the front of dash plate nuts, position the front seat in the full rearward position, and then remove the brake pedal assembly, the shifter assembly, both right and left windshield pillar garnish moldings, the instrument panel upper trim panel, the left side instrument panel to body bolts, the right side instrument panel to body bolts, the right hand floor heater duct at the center floor heater duct, the left hand floor heater duct at the center floor heater duct and HVAC module drain seal thermostatic expansion valve and dash seal.
