The A/C clutch transforms and sends energy from the engine to the A/C compressor. The component functions when the A/C is turned on and when it is disengaged it rotates freely.
A/C clutch principlesThe A/C clutch is a vital part of the A/C system, and it is activated by an electronic clutch. Without a proper clutch, the user may be left without cold airflow. When the A/C is activated, a drum that is linked to the belt pulley is magnetized, which pulls and fastens the belt drive in its position. Also, the clutch prevents the A/C from running all the time and from causing excessive strain on the engine.
Common problems with a faulty A/C clutchA faulty A/C clutch can lead to loud noises, and clutch immobility, or the cabin temperature may be so high it will make the driving experience unbearable.
