About Air Intake System
The air intake system is a component that is crucial to the vehicle's cooling system. The cooling system transmits cooler air into the engine and the combustion chamber.
Air intake system constructionThe intake system comes in various styles and can be made of different materials like plastic, metal, carbon fiber, or rubber. Many of the productive air intake systems use an airbox that is made to fit and increase the powerband of the engine. A basic cold air intake consists of a plastic tube that goes into an air filter. While some intakes use a heat shield to separate the air filter from the rest of the engine which supplies cool air and affects the intake temperatures.
Air intake system productivityThe cold air intake efficiency can be affected by obstruction of the side and front parts of the vehicle. The placement of the air intake core can allow cooler air into the engine. Also, the length of the intake air tube can have a huge impact on the airflow.
Common problems with a faulty air intake systemA defective air intake system can lead to poor fuel efficiency, poor airflow, or a decline in engine performance.
