- Q:Top left corner of the diagram labeled E-9 it s a hose assembly that connects the engine valve cover to the air cleaner box. Does this serve any function other than venting the valve cover? I.e. is that a hollow tube like a straw or does it function as some kind of valve and is there a vacuum hook up to that U-shaped object in the middle? i m really just trying to replace the top cover of the box because the nipple broke off to that hose assembly but I m not sure if I m missing any vacuum lines and is that part sold separately?
