- Q:I was advised They go by colors and that I needed to see what color my bearings are I need to know the exact O.D. and I.D. of the different bearings you have listed. Just like when a piston and rings are replaced in a used engine they are oversized to compensate for the wear in the cylinder ".020 over ( twenty over), .040 over ( forty over )" as the relate to pistons and rings factory installed when the car was new. Likewise the crankshaft wears just like a cylinder and the main bearings and rod bearings are under sized ( a smaller interior diameter) to make up for the wear on the crankshaft and keep tolerances tight. I need Main Bearings that are .010 under and Rod bearings that are .020 under. There are different colors listed on the parts in question but no description as to what their actual size is or "size under" Can you please point me to the .010 under Crank Bearings and the .020 under Rod Bearings?
