Q: How do you install the throttle body assembly?
A:
You can install a new throttle body gasket, position the throttle body to the intake manifold, install the throttle body bolts, connect the EVAP canister purge tube to the throttle body, connect the throttle actuator control motor electrical connector, install the air cleaner outlet duct and the engine sight shield, connect a scan tool, operate the accelerator pedal, monitor the throttle angles and verify the vehicle is not in a reduced engine power mode, that the ignition is ON and that the engine is OFF.

02/11/2022Q: What is the removal procedure for the throttle body assembly?
A:
The procedure is to remove the engine sight shield and the air cleaner outlet duct, disconnect the throttle actuator control motor electrical connector, disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge tube, remove the throttle body bolts, remove the throttle body and remove and discard the throttle body gasket.

You can remove the air cleaner intake duct, inspect the throttle body bore and the throttle plate for deposits, clean the throttle body bore and the throttle plate, and install the air cleaner intake duct.
