Q: i have a 2007 FJ Cruiser 6 speed Manual Transmission with an issue pointing to the brake master cylinder. I’m looking for a direct replacement for the whole assembly, unless you advise otherwise. My VIN is: JTEBU11F470037662 I replaced the rear left caliper, as the piston had seized closed and would not recompress when attempting to install new pads and rotors. Now the new rear left caliper seems to only build up pressure and not return it to the master cylinder, as I have burned through two sets of pads in the last 2 months. The new caliper’s pistons recompress just fine when I put on new pads, but then seem to hold shut even when my foot is off the brake pedal. Is there any chance this won’t require replacement of the entire unit, just the accuator or something? My local shop recommends replacing the entire brake master cylinder assembly. If you agree with the shop, is part 47050-35070 the correct part for sure? I do have the “RR DIFF LOCK” button. By Customer with vehicle: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser: A:
